Script and dotfiles for setting up complete dev environment based on Ubuntu 22.04 (and 24.04)
If Win11 is used as main terminal/client then pleas configure following:
- Windows Terminal (Preview)
- Font: CodeNewRoman Nerd Font
Option 1: Set up VM containing SSH code server
Configure new VM with following resources:
- 2GB RAM
- 16GB vDisk
- Ubuntu server 22.04 boot iso
Install VM (in hypervisor)
- Minimal installation
- Install openssh server
Option 2: Install Ubuntu 22.04 or 24.04 locally
- Install Ubuntu 22.04 or 24.04 desktop
Deploy script
- Log in via SSH (or open desktop terminal)
- Install git
sudo apt update && sudo apt -y install curl git
- Install linuxbox
curl https://git.cmtec.se/cm/linuxbox/-/raw/main/update_wrapper.sh?ref_type=heads | bash -s
- exit session
- Log in via SSH (or open desktop terminal)
