# linuxbox

Script and dotfiles for setting up complete dev environment based on Ubuntu 22.04 (and 24.04)

If Win11 is used as main terminal/client then pleas configure following:
* Windows Terminal (Preview)
* Font: CodeNewRoman Nerd Font

## Option 1: Set up VM containing SSH code server
Configure new VM with following resources:
* 2GB RAM
* 16GB vDisk
* Ubuntu server 22.04 boot iso

### Install VM (in hypervisor)
* Minimal installation
* Install openssh server

## Option 2: Install Ubuntu 22.04 or 24.04 locally
* Install Ubuntu 22.04 or 24.04 desktop

## Deploy script
* Log in via SSH (or open desktop terminal)
* Install git
```bash
sudo apt update && sudo apt -y install curl git
```
* Install linuxbox
```bash
curl https://git.cmtec.se/cm/linuxbox/-/raw/main/update_wrapper.sh?ref_type=heads | bash -s 
```
* exit session
* Log in via SSH (or open desktop terminal)
